Technology Project Manager

The Technology Project Manager is responsible for support of Technology initiatives across the Company. This role will manage critical projects across the company that have a high impact and visibility. The Technology Project Manager will be an integral part of all core technology project rollout, leading or supporting the requirements gathering, design, build, technical documentation, reference guides and training. The goal would be to become proficient in Tanner’s technology and expertly oversee key new initiative build for the company.
Role Accountabilities
Expected Responsibilities for the Technology Project Manager are:
Technology Initiatives
- Lead any net new technology requests for software or applications across the company.
- Gather technical requirements from the business.
- Build Request for Proposals (RFP’s) or Request for Information (RFI’s).
- Research applications for potential to meet our needs.
- Reach out to Company’s for initial touchpoint and set up of demos.
- Understand stakeholder’s expectations and objectives.
- Track all application requirements against business requirements.
- Identifies and establishes project milestones, identifies tasks, dependencies, and timelines.
- Help the business pick application that will best meet needs.
- Maintaining Project timeframes and status reports.
- Manage the configuration of the system- be the liaison between the business and the software company.
- As part of the planning and management of the delivery, define and evaluate problems and dependencies and plan effective solutions. Must be able to identify possible issues before they become impactful problems and to successfully mitigate to keep the project (and personnel) on schedule.
- Must be able to succinctly present progress as well as issues and be able to provide possible solutions as well as take constructive criticism and not let it affect him/her.
- Support creation of all critical documentation- and/or ensure documentation is created or updated to support training, testing, and Quick Reference Guides (QRGs).
- Support the rollout of technology through training.
- Successfully move software from ‘initiative to base support model’ once launched.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with management, team members and stakeholders.
- Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
- Hold regular team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
- Must be able to identify changing priorities within the project and move resources to continue the most effective use of the resources.
- Self-motivated and quick learner who can take the full ownership of assignments/projects and hit the ground running.
- Strategically and tactfully communicate deliverables, red flags, and accountability for next steps with thoughtful timelines, to internal and external stakeholders.
- Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile & Capabilities
Required:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent role-related experience.
- Local to Charlotte Area.
- 5 years+ of direct project management experience. Preferred global or companywide technology project management experience.
- Applicable knowledge in Office 365 applications.
- Ability to dig into a new software or application and easily pick it up.
Preferred:
- Experience using NetSuite or ERP system

- Strong Analytical Skills: The ability to collect, organize, visualize, and assimilate data to see patterns, draw conclusions, and find solutions for the business.
