Business Development Associate direct to Manufacturer

The BD Associate role is to effectively enroll new partner accounts, build strong relationships that will generate growth and repeat orders and provide support to the Business Development team that exemplifies the Tanner Pharma Group Core Values. Success in this role is meeting Business Development team goals and increasing the number of new highly profitable customers. Responsible for building relationships that will grow our strong customer base.
Role Accountabilities
Expected Responsibilities for the Business Development Associate are:
Drive and Build the Business Development Pipeline:
- Generate leads, identify prospects and determine potential, introducing the Director of Sales and Business Development strategy.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish new direct accounts with manufacturers to enhance business operations. This includes conducting market research, negotiating with market authorization holders.
- Manage and Provide partners with proactive communication and excellent customer service to build and maintain successful partnerships via emails, telephone and websites.
- Create and manage a Business Development pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of leads and prospects that can be converted into new business opportunities.
- Effectively complete product research and price analysis.
- Understand pricing forecast, track margins, negotiate on pricing at portfolio/account level.
- Present the company and explain our services to maximize opportunities within the different business units.
- Coordinate new partnership meetings, to have check points and monitor the partnership.
- Build rapport with Leads and Prospects to identify decision-makers and reveal critical information to develop the account and our understanding of the level of partnership
- Effectively follow-up and respond with potential Prospects and Partners in a timely and friendly manner to obtain feedback on the opportunity or request and increase the quote-to-invoice ratio
- Monitor and report on the performance of new direct access routes, and new Manufacturers onboarded.
Admin & Operational implementation and support:
- Work closely with the Director of Sales Strategy and Business Development to align the team’s efforts with the company’s strategic goals. Participate in setting sales targets and defining strategies to achieve these targets.
- Actively communicating with Vendor Management and other departments to ensure smooth handling of all orders
- Drive Sales & New Account Acquisition by supporting the Director of Sales Strategy and Business Development on creating and implementing strategies and track progress
- Support business development efforts, including but not limited to the development of pitch presentations and proposals.
Desired Candidate Profile & Capabilities
Required:
- Local to the Charlotte area and able to travel into the office (located near the Airport)
- 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales or a related area, preferably with a focus on international markets
- Exemplary verbal, writing and editing skills (will be asked for samples)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and financial reports.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor in a Results-Focused work environment.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges in a fast -paced environment and to learn quickly about new markets and products
Soft skills:
- Strategic Market Engagement: Achieve a deep understanding of the business development process and systems within the first 30 days, and continuously identify and establish new manufacturer and customer accounts through strategic market research and negotiation.
- Pipeline Development and Management: Create and manage a robust pipeline of leads and prospects, ensuring a steady flow of potential new business opportunities and a strong conversion rate from quote to invoice.
- Communication and Relationship Building: Maintain proactive and excellent communication with partners and build strong relationships with decision-makers to develop accounts and partnerships effectively.
- Operational and Analytical Proficiency: Demonstrate operational excellence in managing partner accounts from initiation to fulfillment, and utilize analytical skills to track margins, forecast pricing, and monitor Key Performance Indicators for informed decision-making.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction, and actively participate in team development initiatives to drive sales, customer acquisition, and continuous improvement.

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
